Customer Catalog
Company: MISSION
Role: Graphic Design Manager
Scope: Catalog design, product storytelling, layout system, image direction
Overview
Designed a customer-facing product catalog that showcased the full MISSION product lineup, giving customers a clear way to explore the brand and understand each product’s purpose, benefits, and personality. The catalog balanced a cohesive brand voice with product-specific storytelling, helping customers shop confidently across very different categories.
Challenge
The catalog needed to present a wide range of products—each with distinct use cases, tones, and audiences—while still feeling cohesive as a single brand experience. Key challenges included:
Giving customers a clear sense of each product category without overwhelming them
Communicating scale and durability for large products that are difficult to visualize online
Shifting visual tone between family-friendly lifestyle products and more technical, engineered boating solutions
Design Approach
Category-Specific Storytelling
Each product category was treated as its own visual chapter, allowing tone, imagery, and layout to shift while maintaining overall brand consistency.
REEF: Family, Fun, and Scale
For REEF inflatable water mats, the design emphasized a bright, summer-friendly feel while addressing a key customer challenge: understanding scale. Aerial photography showing groups of people lounging on the mats helped communicate size, capacity, and durability in a way specs alone could not.
Boat Gear: Engineered & Purposeful
The boat gear section used a more technical, refined visual language—clean layouts, focused product imagery, and clear information hierarchy—to reinforce MISSION’s commitment to smart design, engineering, and high-quality boating solutions.
